REQUEST FOR TENDER FOR THE LEASE, OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT OF THE TAIRUA CAMPGROUND.<br/>

The Thames-Coromandel District Council is calling for tenders to lease, operate and maintain the Tairua Camp Ground. The property is located at 4 Manaia Road, Tairua.<br/>
The property is to be operated as a camping-ground, as defined in the Camping-Grounds Regulations 1985.<br/>
The property is offered in an As is Where Is basis. Prospective tenderers should fully assess the site, the chattels, and maintenance requirements and understand and provide for any capital costs required to operate the camp ground to the appropriate regulations. It is acknowledge that the built facilities are in need of refurbishment.<br/>
The approximate population of the Thames-Coromandel District is 28,000. During the summer peak this can increase to approximately 150,000. There is a perceived shortage of camp grounds on the Coromandel Peninsula, particularly in the Tairua-Pauanui area. This camp ground is being offered for lease as a response to the local community's request for a provision of camp ground facilities in this area.<br/>

The closing date is Friday 26 July 2019, no later than 4pm. The Council reserves the right at its sole discretion to accept late proposals.<br/>
Proposals must be in a sealed envelope marked: Request for Tender - Lease, Operation and Management of the Tairua Campground.<br/>
Two copies of the proposal are to be provided. One is to be bound and the other unbound. Faxed or emailed proposals will not be accepted.<br/>
Council may ask a respondent to further explain or clarify in writing areas of its proposal. All proposals become the property of Council and will not be returned to the respondents.<br/>
