Ausgrid is seeking the provision of a tool for the sizing and costing of Stand Alone Power Systems (SAPS), to support Ausgrid's internal planning needs. <br/>
With falling costs for solar and storage, it is likely that SAPS can be a more cost effective solution to supply customers with electricity than maintaining or extending traditional network infrastructure for some fringe of grid situations. The output of this tool will be used in a pre-feasibility project assessment to determine whether a SAPS is more cost effective than maintaining the traditional network for a single customer or small group of customers.
